Ingredients:


  • 10-12 august phool
  • ½ tsp garlic paste
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • ½  tsp red chilli powder
  • ¼ tsp Carmon seed (ajawine)
  • ¼ kalongi
  • 1 cup besan
  • ¼ cup rice flour
  • 1 cup water
  • Mustard oil for deep fry

Preparation:
  • Take flower; discard stigma (Centre hard stem) keep aside.
  • Take a bowl. Put besan, rice flour, salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, ajwaine and kalongi in it.
  • Make a smooth batter with the help of water.
  • Take kadhai, heat oil in it.
  • Let oil to smoke. Pour a drop of batter into the oil.
  • If batter comes up, it means right temperature of oil otherwise wait for a while and test again.
  • After getting right temperature of oil, dip the flower into batter (one whole flower at a time).
  • Deep fry all flowers, when they start to come up slowly turn over.
  • Fry till it becomes brown on both sides.
  • Serve hot with tomato sauce or coriander chutney.
